History of Chobe River School
The school was founded at Kubu lodge on the 14th of July 1998(alteration.) as an outreach into the community by seven Kasane Open Baptist members. They formed a non profit company in 1997 to open the pre school “Noka ya Botshelo” meaning “ river of life” encompassing the importance of the Chobe river as the symbolic journey the children have to make through life.
In 2003 the school had grown substantially and was moved to beautiful new premises situated in the current site amongst Teak trees on the Plateau Hill.

Chobe river school is a small school with big ideas.Our highly qualified experienced teachers dedicated themselves to small classes of children of all races and creeds, giving them the individual attention needed to study in a new language.
At the heart of the school educational philosophy is the goal to develop each child’s unique personality to encourage a child to reach its full and diverse potential.The school principles are based on Christian ethos.
There are currently 91 pupils at the school spread out in classes from pre school to grade 7.As a school Chobe river school is lucky to be able to benefit of being situated I such an wilderness area.On any given day the children at the school will get to see elephants, warthogs,dung dung beetles, buck and other game in proximity close to the school

The Botswana Education Curriculum acts as a guideline I conjuction with additional systems, preparing the children for entry into any other education establishment
